Before sending a report
Use the affected service’s official security or bug-bounty channel. Confirm that your test is within scope, avoid attaching secrets or personal data, and do not include a weaponized proof when a concise description is sufficient.
What to include
- A short summary and affected component.
- The authorized test conditions and a minimal reproduction using a test account.
- Potential impact, stated with evidence and uncertainty clearly separated.
- A suggested mitigation or a safe way to verify the fix.
